Establishments across Japan in mining, construction, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, finance and insurance, real estate, transportation and communication, electricity, gas, and water, and services (excluding domestic services and foreign governments and international agencies in Japan). Part A and the prefectural surveys focused on establishments with 30 or more regular employees, while Part B focused on establishments with 5-29 regular employees.
