资源简介:
Site 24TT83 is a tipi ring site located on the north side of the Teton
River in an old meander scar at an elevation of 1067 m (3500 ft). The
present vegetation is dominated by grasses (blue grama and wheat grass).
Occasional prickly pear (Opuntia), small sage (Artemisia), and club moss
(Lycopodium) were also observed at the site. The Teton River supports a
riparian community, including deciduous trees, some 200-300 m west of the
site. Four tipi rings ranging in date from 280 to 1080 BP
were sampled at this site in an effort to gather data concerning economic
activity within these features.
