Outbound and inbound acquisition deal numbers in Europe in Q4 2020

Among selected European countries, the United Kingdom (UK) led the market with the highest merger and acquisition (M&A) activity during the fourth quarter of 2020. The UK had a total of 915 inbound and 1,010 outbound M&A deals, followed by France with 386 inbound and 531 outbound deals. The top three is completed by Germany, with a total of 603 inbound deals and 487 outbound deals in the last quarter of 2020.
