Translated from the German into English by Edward Kremers. The woodcuts were originally published in Hieronymus Brunschwig. Liber de arte distillandi de simplicibus = Das Buch der rechten Kunst zü distilieren die eintzige Ding. Strasbourg, Germany: Johann Gruninger, 1500 (vol. 1) & 1507 (vol. 2). Included are: People cultivating herbs and operating a distillation apparatus (figure 1, p. [23]); Two men operating a distillation apparatus (figure 2, p. 25).
