Data from: Shelters enhance tree seedling survival and growth but increase project cost in post-fire reforestation

资源简介:
This archive includes analytical code and data supporting Dixit et al. 2026, in the journal Ecosphere. They describe the results of seedling monitoring of survival and individual height across 24 planting units implemented between 2010 and 2023 following the Jasper and Sheldon Fires in the Black Hills National Forest, South Dakota, USA. About half of the seedlings within each planting unit were sheltered from mammal herbivores using photodegradable plastic mesh tubes, while the remaining seedlings were left unsheltered. A README.md file describing these data is forthcoming, and will be made available at the time of manuscript publication.
