Number of insects and spiders found in tall grass compared to mowed grass

Transects of 10m were laid beside both tall undisturbed grass, and mowed, cut, or trampled grass. Sweepnets were used to capture insects and spiders along the transects. The insects and spiders were counted all together (all species). This experiment was done in the York U grasslands. The weather was fairky cool at 10˚C  and overcast. The experiment was done with 4 people (2 pairs).
