Dataset: Trapped by the lack of control over savings

This data set contains all dependent and independent data used for the analysis of the research article “Trapped by the lack of control over savings: Evidence from Pakistan” (2022), e.g., the degree of control married female bank account owners exercise over their savings in the account, as well as information on their account use. The data set is based on survey data of 1,798 married female borrowers of an Islamic microfinance institution (Akhuwat) from the city of Multan, Punjab Province, Pakistan, collected in 2017 and 2018. Data collection took place in Urdu.
