Media Literacy 2020

Within the Infrastructure Program of the Faculty of Media: Collection, management, and archiving of data on media literacy, data on the state of media literacy in Slovenia was collected. Examining the general level of media literacy is of great importance, as with the trend of increased exposure amidst rapid technological advancements, the actual long-term effects of exposure to various modern media cannot yet be predicted. The study included individuals aged 18 and older who use various media within the territory of Slovenia. In data collection, the focues was on media exposure, critical thinking, news monitoring and suggestions for improving the situation. This is a repeat of the 2014 survey, with some additions and changes to the questionnaire. There is very little data collected in this field of study, consequently, such data is very important for the research, various studies and publications by researchers in various fields.
