This dataset contains the output from the Coupled Ocean Atmosphere-Wave-Sediment-Transport (COAWST) coupled with Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS)-Weather Research and Forecast Model (WRF)-Simulating Waves Nearshore (SWAN) model with passive oil tracer providing hourly and 6-hourly averaged model standard outputs under the following the model configurations: (1) ROMS with tides and passive oil tracer; (2) WRF with Grenier and Bretherton (GB) Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) and revised MM5 Monin-Obukhov surface layer scheme for two days (2010-04-13 to 2010-04-14) used to force the COAWST hydrodynamic model with feedback. The dataset represents a series of numerical experiments on the sensitivity tests of PBL schemes within the WRF model conducting two PBL schemes in a fully coupled WRF-ROMS-SWAN model (PT_test-02: GB PBL, and PT_test-03: MYNN2 PBL). Since this is a series of sensitivity test numerical experiments on PBL, the importance of these experiments focused on the related variables of air-sea interaction, LH (Latent Heat Flux at the Surface [w m-2]), QFX (Upward Moisture Flux at the Surface [kg m-2 s-1]), and UST (U* in Similarity Theory, [m s-1]). In addition, the numerical experiments also carried on the oil drifting experiment by injecting a dye in the ocean model component (ROMS, dye_01 [kg m-3]), representing the passive tracer of 3D oil concentration. The key variables include surface oil concentration, ocean fields (e.g., current and temperature), atmosphere fields (e.g., winds and temperature), and wave fields (e.g., significant wave height).
