Behavioral constraints and the limits of financial incentives in net-zero retrofitting

This dataset underpins a quantitative analysis of household decision-making in the context of energy-efficient housing retrofits. The study investigates how financial risk perception, loss aversion, and payment preferences influence retrofit feasibility under varying investment scenarios. Data were collected through a structured telephone survey using a seven-point feasibility scale, capturing responses across hypothetical investment amounts and financing mechanisms. The file includes variables related to socio-demographic characteristics, value orientations, perceived financial risk, and retrofit intentions. It was analyzed using multinomial logistic regression to classify patterns of risk perception and financial commitment. The dataset is fully anonymized and structured to support replication or secondary analysis of behavior under financial uncertainty in residential energy transitions.
