Phonological Analysis of Arabic Diphthongs in Defective Verbs

Arabic diphthongs in defective verbs have several phonological rules, sound and segment changes. The data includes some tables and rules that explain the processes. The data provided are based on Chomsky and Halle (1968) theory called generative phonology, as well as Crowley (1987) that studied the change of sound. Other researchers may study the data in order to compare the Arabic defective verbs that have diphthong sounds with the other languages' diphthong.阿拉伯语缺陷动词中的双元音存在若干音系规则，以及语音与音段层面的变化。本数据集包含若干阐释上述音系过程的表格与规则说明。本次提供的数据集基于乔姆斯基与哈莱（Chomsky and Halle，1968）提出的生成音系学（generative phonology）理论，以及克劳利（Crowley，1987）针对语音变化开展的研究成果。其他研究者可依托本数据集，对比含双元音的阿拉伯语缺陷动词与其他语言的双元音现象。
