Urban thunderstorm data

The State Grid Lightning Network is utilized to collect lightning location datasets, which include longitude and latitude, GPS time, peak current, polarity, and other relevant information. Lightning events are detected using magnetic direction-finding and time-of-arrival technologies within the SGLNET, achieving a detection efficiency of 94% and a location error of 489 m, respectively. In terms of urban spatial morphology, the elements include building height, building density, building height-width ratio, shading ratio, and sky view factor. High-rise buildings and those with high floor area ratio can affect air circulation and surface heat dissipation in urban areas. In terms of surface coverage, urban microclimate is closely related to parameters of the underlying surface, including surface albedo, surface roughness, and pervious surface fraction.
