资源简介:

Working Holiday Maker visa holders (subclass 417, and 462 under a near-identical instrument) need 88 days of "specified work" in eligible areas of Australia to apply for a second-year visa, and 179 days for a third. The official list of eligible areas is a legal instrument published as a PDF, with postcodes written as ranges inside the text. This dataset turns it into one CSV row per range, with the kind of work each area counts for. Maintained by 88mates (https://88mates.com), a free app for Working Holiday makers in Australia. Check a postcode online: https://88mates.com/en/88-days-postcode-checker Where to do your 88 days, region by region: https://88mates.com/en/88-days Source Migration (Specified work and areas for subclass 417 visas) Instrument 2022 (LIN 22/012), Schedule 1, compilation in force on 5 April 2025, Department of Home Affairs: https://www.legislation.gov.au/F2022L00271/latest/details Based on content from the Federal Register of Legislation at 3 November 2026 (latest compilation checked on that date). For the latest information on Australian Government legislation please go to https://www.legislation.gov.au. File: specified_work_postcode_ranges.csv (234 rows) Columns: area (Regional Australia, Northern Australia, Remote and Very Remote Australia, or a postcode listed on its own) · state · postcode_from, postcode_to (inclusive range, empty when the whole state counts) · all_postcodes_in_state · counts_for_work (farm_fishing_forestry_construction_mining or tourism_hospitality) · note. How the rules work Farm work, fishing and pearling, tree farming and felling, construction and mining count in Regional Australia. Tourism and hospitality count only in Northern Australia and Remote and Very Remote Australia, plus four listed postcodes (4406, 4416, 4498, 7215). A postcode can be eligible for a farm job and not for a hotel job. Limits Areas affected by bushfires, floods or other severe weather are defined by local government area, not postcode, and are not included. The official text prints one Remote Australia range in NSW as "2832 to 283", a typo, widened here to 2832–2839. This is not legal advice: the Department of Home Affairs decides whether work counts.
