Basic stretches of river water bodies — Martinique — Premises State Version 2019

The elementary section of the waterbody allows two objectives to be met. First, to detail the composition of the waterbody in elementary sections located on the surface or underground (in the same way as the BDCarthage). The geometry of the Theme Surface Water Mass/Rivières is then the aggregation of the elementary sections of the Theme. It also ensures the continuity of the water body network by creating fictitious sections across bodies of water level, coastal or transitional water, but also by enabling the connection of water bodies through tributaries present in the BDCarthage river network but not identified as forming part of a body of water under the rules for the establishment of the water body benchmark. If this section corresponds to an elementary section present in the BDCarthage, this element will therefore inherit the characteristics of the elementary hydrographic section in question.
