Insight into outdoor bioaerosol diversity by using high volume sampling and eDNA analysis

Bioaerosols, comprising airborne biological particles such as bacteria, fungi, pollen andviruses, significantly impact atmospheric processes, public health, and environmentalmonitoring. With the aim to achieve better resolution in the assessment of the airbornediversity, this study explores applicability of targeted high-throughput sequencing ofairborne eDNA to recover bacterial and fungal communities and to identify pathogensrelevant for agriculture, forestry and human health.
