Land resource map — AR250 — land use types

Map layers in the national data set AR250 showing main types of arealess resources in a scale 1:250 000 and are adapted for use on scales from 1:100 000 to 1:300 000. Area type is a subdivision into eight area resource classes. Property/column in the data set to be used to produce the map layer is called ARTYPE. AR250 produced by generalisation of AR5 below the tree line, and interpretation of satellite images above the tree limit. In addition, N50 has been used where we have neither had AR5 nor satellite images. Shapes that are less than 100 acres do not appear on the map, but are merged with adjacent areas. The data set is updated once every three years with the last year’s version of FKB-AR5 (area resource map on a scale of 1:5000 in the database as of 31.12). The latest update has data from 31.12.2013. Data is downloaded as county or municipal files.
