Nitrogen rises to the top: evidence of enhanced mixing in very massive stars
收藏资源简介:
Files to reproduce simulations and results from the paper "Nitrogen rises to the top: evidence of enhanced mixing in very massive stars". To reproduce results extract all files into the same directory and follow the instructions in README.txt. Individual files contain the following: mixing_grid_xxx.tar.xz: Grids of simulation for each wind mass loss scheme considered in the manuscript. MESA working directories to fully reproduce simulations are included following the naming format XXXX.XXXX/YYYY.YYYY where XXXX.XXXX specifies the value of overshoot used and YYYY.YYYY specifies the initial mass of the star in log10(m_i/Msun). overshoot_interp.tar.gz: For each value of overshoot, together with an assumption on wind mass loss and star formation history, the probability of enrichment for a given luminosity is computed. These values are stored (see description if README.txt) and then interpolated to compute the enrichment probabiltiy at an arbitrary overshoot and luminosity. Files contained here provide the precomputed values used to produce the interpolant, and can be recreated with the scripts provided in scripts_and_plots.tar.gz. chains.tar.gz: This stores the MCMC chains computed in the analysis provided as hdf5 files. This includes the inference of the enrichment probability at a given luminosity determined directly from the data as well as the inferred values of overshoot and binary product fraction. These chains can be reproduced from the scripts provided but are given here to provide the explicit chains for which reports are reported. scripts_and_plots.tar.gz: Scripts used to analyze simulations and produce results and figures for the manuscript.Details are provided in README.txt.
