Genome sequencing of marine UBA868 family representatives in the order Arenicellales (UBA10353 marine group)

This project reports the cultivation and genome sequencing of four marine bacterial representatives affiliated with the UBA868, a family-level bacterial group within the order Arenicellales (UBA10353 marine group). These bacteria are widespread in oceanic environments but have remained largely uncultivated, limiting understanding of their physiology and ecological roles. The generated genome sequences provide insights into the metabolic potential, evolutionary placement, and environmental relevance of this lineage.
