Species invasions dataset

Dynamic species invasions network: sender nodes are species and receiver nodes are regions as defined in the FirstRecords database. Dataset covers four taxonomic groups (i.e., mammals, birds, plants, insects) and a fixed time-frame [1880; 2005] over which the invasion process of the species occurs into the regional set of the 272 pre-specified regions. The data file is in comma separated format, where species - species s country - country c start and stp - defines the start and end time of each time interval. event - end of interval status, 0=censored, 1=invasion event dist - distance to the nearest region c invaded by species s by time stp. num_inv - weighted number of prior invasions in region c trade - logarithm of the sum of annual trade flows between region c and other regions invaded by species s by time stp col - presence of species s at time stp in a region within the area of a colonial power temp_dist - minimum absolute difference in temperature between region c and other regions invaded by species s by time stp pasture - proportion of pasture area in region c at time stp urban - proportion of urban area in region c at time stp cropland - proportion of cropland area in region c at time stp taxonomy - taxonomic group
