VPRS 17020 Criminal Presentments and Final Orders, Melbourne

This series consists of the Presentments and Final Orders of criminal cases made to the Melbourne Court of General Sessions of the Peace from the Crown prosecutor and subsequently the County Court of Victoria.The Presentments set out the name of the accused and full details of the charges with which the person was to be tried. A list of Crown witnesses is also given.The document is folded length-wise and on the reverse side of the Presentment the case is summarised with the name and location of the Court, when the trial begun and before whom, the plea, the verdict and the judgement.
