This study investigates the microbial community structure of biofilms formed on the surface of multiple types of metal. Bacterial DNA was extracted from biofilm samples collected from various metal surfaces. The V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was PCR-amplified and sequenced using Illumina MiSeq with 250bp paired-end reads. This dataset provides valuable insights into the composition and diversity of microbial communities in biofilms on metal surfaces, contributing to our understanding of biofilm formation and potential biocorrosion processes. The data is publicly available for use by the research community, offering opportunities for comparative studies and meta-analyses in the fields of microbial ecology and materials science
