TECHNOLOGY-SUPPORTED CREATIVE ASSIGNMENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION ENGLISH CLASSROOMS
收藏资源简介:
Abstract: The integration of educational technology into English language teaching has transformed the way creative assignments are designed and implemented in higher education. Rather than functioning merely as instruments for delivering instructional content, digital technologies create interactive learning environments that encourage students to develop communicative competence, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. This article examines the pedagogical significance of technology-supported creative assignments in higher education English classrooms and analyzes their contribution to students' linguistic and cognitive development. Particular attention is given to digital storytelling, multimedia presentations, collaborative writing platforms, artificial intelligence tools, virtual discussions, and project-based learning activities. The study argues that technology-enhanced creative assignments increase learner engagement by providing authentic communication opportunities and promoting learner autonomy. Furthermore, the article discusses the pedagogical conditions necessary for the effective implementation of creative digital tasks, emphasizing the teacher's role as a facilitator who guides students through meaningful learning experiences. The findings suggest that technology-supported creative assignments not only improve language proficiency but also foster innovation, flexibility, and lifelong learning skills required in contemporary professional environments.
