Large-scale Water nuisance – Water depth at 200 mm precipitation in 48 hours – Dry (2022)

This map layer gives the water depth at ground level appropriate to a 48-hour drop event of 200 mm and is made using model calculations of regional water system models and GIS analyses with the height model ahn3. Recent changes in watercourses or in the area not yet included in the ahn3 have not yet been considered here. The water depth map is intended to give an impression of the nuisance that may occur in such events and to identify differences between areas. The map is not intended for the design of measures, the insurance industry, or to derive detailed conclusions on a very local scale. The calculation was based on the proper functioning of all mills and works of art and did not include grinding stops. Also, bosomkade breakthroughs are not considered.
