Does Digital Government Promote Collaborative Innovation? Evidence from the E-Government Pilot Policy in China

This dataset supports the study “Does Digital Government Promote Collaborative Innovation? Evidence from the E-Government Pilot Policy in China.” It covers panel data for 292 Chinese cities from 2012–2023 and evaluates the impact of the 2017 e-government pilot policy using a DID model. The results show that digital government promotes intra-city patent collaboration, improves fiscal efficiency and transparency, and fosters innovation resource agglomeration. The dataset provides empirical evidence for understanding how digital governance shapes collaborative innovation.
