16S rRNA amplicon sequencing of Panarea Island (Tyrrhenian Sea) seawater

16S rRNA gene analysis was performed in 7 stations at surface and bottom, including the reference station (P0-1m; P0-50m), the transect stations (P15-3m; P15-40m; P19-3m; P19-45m; P19-64m; P23-61m; P26-3m; P26-51m; P33-3m; P33-73m) and the vent associated stations (V23-3m; V23-30m; V23-61m and V35-2m; V35-22.5m) in order to dissect the microbial communities functioning in Panarea Island, Italy and investigate how the prokaryotic community was structured in terms of diversity and composition.
