Dataset for: Partitioning of fresh crude oil between floating, dispersed and sediment phases: Effect of exposure order to dispersant and granular materials

Louisiana crude oil was added to salt water (34 ppt) along with additions of dispersant (Corexit 9500A) and/or granular materials (limestone or quartz). For each treatment, there was a specific order of addition for each component. Treatments included oil only, oil then dispersant, oil then dispersant then sediment, sediment then oil then dispersant, oil then sediment then dispersant, and oil then sediment. This dataset reports the ratios of oil concentration found floating, captured by sediments, and dispersed in water after each treatment.
