资源简介:
This is a copy of the publicly available data as of 24 January 2025 from the The FEWS NET Data Warehouse and Data Explorer, which became unavailable as of 31 January 2025. It includes data on: Production Cropped area Crop yield Geographic Boundaries Market Price and Trade Data IPC Acute Food Insecurity Classification Population from global administrative units, as well as source documents supporting the data. This repository is structured according to the UN M49 standard for geographic regions. This means that the data is sorted into folders by continent, then by region, then by country. All data for each country (including the source documents) is available in each folder. Files are identified using the two-letter ISO-3166 alpha-2 codes. If a file only contains the country code and a year, it contains a shapefile for the boundaries of the country in that year. Other unique file types include relationship tables and geographic unit sets. Relationship tables track changes in administrative units within a country over time. For example, if Unit 1 splits into Unit 2 and Unit 3 in 1990, this is indicated in the relationship table with the keyword ‘Split’. Geographic unit set files simply provide additional metadata for the types of geographic files available in each country. An international collaborative group -- including members from The United States Agency for International Development, Harvard University, The University of British Columbia, The University of Maryland, The International Food Policy Research Institute, The Climate Impact Lab, The University of Delaware, Leipzig University, The University of Minnesota, and The Stockholm Environment Institute, among others -- is working to expand the temporal and spatial scope of this dataset, and will continue to post new data here regularly. Funding for maintaining and improving this dataset has been provided by the Harvard Data Science Initiative (HDSI) and a grant from Amazon Web Services (AWS). When the FEWS NET Data Warehouse and Data Explorer are back online, the original data and any updates will again be hosted there. If you have agricultural data that you would like to contribute to this dataset, please email cropdatasubmission [at] gmail [dot] com. Please also reach out if you would like to get involved in cleaning, validating, and harmonizing the data, or if you have any questions about the dataset.
