Spatially clustered neurons in the bat midbrain encode vocalization categories Dataset

This dataset accompanies the article entitled "Spatially clustered neurons in the bat midbrain encode vocalization categories" published in Nature Neuroscience in 2025 (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41593-025-01932-3). This dataset consists of a MATLAB structure containing the preprocessed fluorescent activity of each identified cell, defined by manually drawn ROIs, for each stimulus presentation across bats and recording sites. The data are organized by recording site. Each structure includes subfields for bat identity, stimulus type, matrix dimensions, mean image, and ROI coordinates. Each trace is locked to stimulus onset, using the 'FrametoSecond' subfield to define the time reference.
