<pre>Final work of undergraduate research in Chemistry</pre><pre><pre>The increasing use of cosmetics and household products, increasing the deposition in the environment of new pollutants synthesized every day, are emerging pollutants of which little is known about their degradation or effects on aquatic communities. Among these compounds are the parabens that are used due to their antimicrobial action in products of diffuse origin such as cosmetics, drugs, among others. Studies show the relationship of these compounds with carcinomas and alteration of the endocrine system of animals. Laboratory analysis of these compounds can be performed with HPLC-High Performance Liquid Chromatography, but as complex matrices are generally analyzed, where these compounds are present at trace level, clean up and pre-concentration of samples are essential. In the present work, molecular printing polymers (MIP) were synthesized for application in solid phase extraction cartridges, used in the preparation of samples of environmental interest, allowing the clean up of the sample and pre-concentration of the analyte of interest, in this case. methylparaben. The methodology adopted for polymer synthesis was bulk polymerization; This reaction occurs through non-covalent interactions.</pre></pre>
