The data related to the article "Theoretical study of the electron-impact broadening for highly charged Ar XV ion lines" was published in the journal of Chinese Phvsics B. lt contains four CSV files, which are described below:We use the relativistic R-matrix method to investigate the electron-impact broadening of highly charged Ar XV ion spectral lines under the impact approximation. It is found that the results with considering resonance structures are signifcantly different from those of distorted wave approach. Furthermore, we propose a new empirical formula with a correction term to take into account the effect of resonances for electron-impact widths over a relatively wide range of plasma conditions.Table 1: The dataset of excition energies of Ar XV based on previous literature reports.Table 2: The dataset of weighted oscillator strengths and transition probabilities for intercombination transitions of Ar XV.Table 3: The dataset of electron-impact broadening of Ar XV lines.Table 4: The dataset of fitting coeffcients and relative errors for 47 line widths based on a new empirical formula.
