资源简介:
Higher Education Management Information Systems (HEMIS) serve as the digital backbone for academic administration, yet legacy implementations often create operational inefficiencies and significant usability issues due to unintuitive interfaces. To address these challenges, a user-centered UI redesign was conducted using the Design Thinking (DT) methodology. The six DT phases—Understand, Observe, Point of View, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—guided the iterative improvement process and the development of a refined interface that meets unmet academic requirements.
By applying DT principles, key friction points were identified, user empathy was integrated into decision-making, and overall user satisfaction improved. Qualitative feedback and the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) were used to evaluate usability, efficiency, and system performance. Findings demonstrate that User-Centered Design (UCD) is essential in modern HEMIS/ERP implementations. The study presents a practical redesign roadmap that enhances operability, aligns with user expectations, and supports more effective administrative workflows.
