Gaia is a mission designed to chart a three dimensional map of the Milky Way. Gaia will provide unprecedented positional measurements for about one billion stars in our Galaxy, together with radial velocity measurements for the brightest 150 million objects. This dataset or service is made available by the Infrared Science Archive (IRSA) at IPAC, which is operated by the California Institute of Technology under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
