Bacteria that inhabit fruits affect plant growth and decay through various interactions. Apples are produced all over the world, and it is important to suppress bacterial decay on distribution. In this study, we focus on the microorganisms that inhabit apple fruits. A new Curtobacterium genus bacterium was isolated. We determined the complete genome of this bacterium and aimed to clarify its characteristics.
