POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSES AT FOUR SITES WEST OF CASPER, WYOMING

Pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from numerous features and a single stratigraphic column at four sites in central Wyoming in an effort to examine both the paleoenvironment and subsistence base at these sites. Deposits at site 48NA920 were selected to be. sampled stratigraphically for pollen to interpret the paleoenvironment. Four archaeological sites were sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains during archaeological testing in Natrona County, central Wyoming. These sites are located approximately 50 miles west of Casper, Wyoming in the vicinity of Hell's Half Acre.为系统考察怀俄明州中部四处遗址的古环境与生业模式，研究人员从该区域的多个考古遗迹及单一处地层剖面中采集了孢粉（pollen）与大植物遗存（macrofloral remains）样本。其中，针对48NA920号遗址的堆积层，研究人员选取按地层学方式分层采集孢粉的方案，以解析该遗址的古环境。本次考古勘探期间，研究人员在怀俄明州中部纳特罗纳县范围内，对四处考古遗址开展了孢粉与大植物遗存采样工作。上述遗址均坐落于怀俄明州卡斯珀市以西约50英里的地狱半亩地（Hell's Half Acre）周边区域。
