Green Leadership, Capabilities, and AI: Enablers of Sustainable Career Growth

As sustainability becomes a strategic priority across organizations, this study examines how green transformational leadership, green dynamic capabilities, and AI-driven service quality influence sustainable career advancement. Drawing on Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) framework, the research explores the mediating role of green orientation and the moderating effect of green compensation. Using a two-wave time-lagged survey, the findings reveal that green dynamic capabilities significantly support career advancement, while green leadership and AI service quality show no direct effects. However, green orientation mediates several relationships, and green compensation strengthens these effects through moderated-mediation. The study concludes that sustainability outcomes are most effective when leadership, capabilities, and technology are embedded within coherent value systems and reward structures. These insights contribute to the literature on green human resource management, sustainable leadership, and career development.
