Despite the pine wood nematode has largely spread and seriously threatened coniferous forests across the world, little is known on how soil microbial diversity responded to pine wilt disease (PWD) and associated management practices. We investigated soil bacteria and fungi in bulk and rhizosphere soil of Masson pine forests following PWD and associated management practices. The findings reveal the short-term responses of soil microbiome to PWD and management practice in pine forests.
