资源简介:
To advance the reproductive biology of Senegalese sole, it is essential to provide new tools and establish solid scientific and technical foundations for the development of an effective production system. These efforts aim to promote and enhance the controlled breeding and cultivation of this species. One promising strategy in this context is environmental enrichment, which has shown potential in mitigating undesirable traits that fish often develop under captive conditions. In particular, sandy environmental enrichment has emerged as a valuable method to improve reproductive outcomes. Supporting this, transcriptomic analyses of the brain and testis have revealed significant benefits of sandy substrates on male reproductive performance in Senegalese sole, highlighting its role in optimizing aquaculture practices.
