Identification and characterization of microRNAs from peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) by high-throughput sequencing

This study provides a large-scale cloning and characterization of peanut miRNAs and their predicted targets. These miRNAs belong to 33 conserved miRNA families and 25 are novel in peanut. These miRNAs add to the growing database of new miRNA and lay the foundation for further understanding of miRNA function in the regulation of peanut development.
