Petal infrared transmission warms flowers and reduces microbial abundance - data and r scripts
收藏资源简介:
These datasets and R scripts accompany the manuscript "Petal infrared transmission warms flowers and reduces microbial abundance". Data were collected from two co-occurring ericaceous shrubs, Lyonia fruticosa and Lyonia lucida, to investigate how floral petal windows influence microclimate and microbial communities. The deposit includes: (1) internal and external flower temperature measurements, (2) ultraviolet and infrared spectral transmission data from petal window and pigmented tissues, (3) culturable microbial colony counts (yeast, mold, and bacteria) under ambient conditions and following experimental UV exposure, and (4) repeated-measures temperature data from a spectral filter experiment testing whether infrared radiation causally warms flowers. Eight R scripts reproduce all statistical analyses and figures reported in the manuscript and supplementary material.
