The study aimed to characterize novel transcripts in the human genome. PolyA+ RNA was isolated from total RNA extracted from etoposide-treated K562 cells and subjected to 5' and 3; Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends (RACE) to enrich for full-length transcripts, targeting 12 anchor exons across four genomic loci. The enriched cDNA was then sequenced using the Oxford Nanopore PromethION platform.
