Magnetic properties and interaction of the single molecular magnet TbPc2 on semiconducting EuS and EuO substrates

TbPc2 molecules will be deposited on a semiconducting/insulating EuS and EuO ferromagnetic substrates. The presence of single molecular magnets at the resulted interfaces makes these systems relevant for applications in quantum computing as well as for spin injection. We propose to create both systems in situ and perform their comprehensive characterization as a function of temperature, photon flux and the magnetic field ramp rate. We expect to obtain the detailed pattern of physical properties of TbPc2/EuO and TbPc2/EuS systems which include the character of interaction, critical temperatures of the anticipated magnetic order and anisotropies. Additionally, we will explore the time-scale of the intrinsic de-magnetization which is relevant for aforementioned potential applications.
