These are subject correspondence files relating to electricity and tramway operations of the Electric Supply Company of Victoria (1903-1934), and the State Electricity Commission, Mid-Western Supply Region (1934-1984). Some of the earliest documents within this series may have been created by the predecessor company that operated the Ballarat Tramways. The files (some of which have been bound into volumes) relate to a wide range of subjects including: tramway operations, electricity supply, war and fire precautions, merchandising, ticket pricing, and so on.
