Lactococcus garvieae and Lactococcus petauri are two closely related species. Both species are causing lactococcosis in fish, have been isolated from various food products and are considered as emerging opportunistic zoonotic pathogens. Here we report the draft genomes of L. garvieae INF126 and L. petauri INF110 isolated from traditional Montenegrin brine cheeses.
