16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing of microbial communities in iron tailings

This study aimed to investigate the responses of bacterial and fungal communities in iron tailings to organic matter supplementation. We collected samples from different treatment groups and performed high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene (for bacteria) and ITS region (for fungi) to characterize the microbial community structure.
