Deciphering the Mechanisms: Shenfu Decoction's Impact on Survival in Seawater-Immersed Hypothermia Rats - Metabolomics and Gut Microbiota Insights

Shenfu Decoction (SFD), a traditional pharmacological formulation, comprising ginseng and Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, is recognized for its Qi-invigorating and Yang-restoring properties. While the capability of SFD to prolong survival in individuals with hypothermia has not yet been reported. Consequently, our research marks the pioneering application of SFD in a rat model of hypothermia, wherein metabolomics and gut microbiota analyses were employed to preliminarily elucidate the mechanistic effects of SFD on the condition.
