Efficient fatty acid (FA) re-esterification is critical for maintaining lipid homeostasis in adipocytes. However, the molecular mechanisms that regulate Coenzyme A (CoA) availability at the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigate the role of Tmem120a in the regulation of brown adipose tissue (BAT) metabolism and perform a comparative analysis of differentially expressed genes between wild-type WT and adipocyte-specific Tmem120a knockout TMEM120A AKO mice to elucidate its contribution to the broader metabolic and physiological adaptations.
