Eukaryotic 18S SSU rRNA V4 samples from the Matapan Deep (or Matapan-Vavilov Deep, Mediterranean Sea). Samples were collected at a depth of 200, 500, 1250, 2222, 3500, and 4500 meters (six samples in total). Amplification primers for the 18S SSU rRNA V4 region: CCAGCASCYGCGGTAATTCC and ACTTTCGTTCTTGATYRA. Roche 454 sequencing, data provided by Sabine Filker.
