The dataset encompasses experimental results from a study aimed at elucidating the role of senegenin in the regulation of O-GlcNAc glycosylation levels in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The data include Western blot analyses quantifying O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and glycosylation levels in HCC tissues and cell lines, in vitro assays assessing the proliferation and clonogenic potential of HCC cells, and transwell migration assays examining the metastatic capabilities of the cancer cells. Additionally, the dataset documents the modulation of O-GlcNAcylation through pharmacological and lentiviral interventions, with subsequent changes in the NK-κB and JNK signaling pathways. The findings provide insights into the molecular mechanisms by which senegenin impedes the growth and spread of HCC, presenting a potential therapeutic avenue for combating this malignancy.
