This is the raw data from a cross-sectional survey of staff and clients from 35 food pantries in Indiana. Results showed that staff and clients held fundamentally different views. The survey instrument was comprised of multiple choice, Likert scale, numeric value, and free response questions that assessed demographic information, client satisfaction with their pantry experience, confidence in their own food management practices (i.e., meal planning, making shopping lists, comparing prices across stores), and the degree to which their preferences affected their food choices. Additional questions assessed topics such as transportation and food storage.
