Formulated Carvacrol Impacts the chickens' microbiota

Campylobacter jejuni is the leading cause of foodborne diarrheal disease in the developed world. The aim of this study was first to test ability of a new carvacrol-based formulation to decrease the C. jejuni caecal load on inoculated broiler chickens and second to studied the impact of the artificial inoculation with C. jejuni alone or combined with the product, on the caecal microbiota.
